CareerBuilder Challenge

The CareerBuilder Challenge is a professional golf tournament on the PGA tour that includes fun activities and exciting events for everyone. This golf tournament is held at the La Quinta Country Club in the heart of the Coachella Valley. This year’s event aims to combine golf with a completely unique fan experience which includes a week of fun.

This top-rated tournament is uniquely large, including some of the most challenging courses in the west, allowing each tournament day to be held on a different course. The tournament will take place on three different golf courses - the Stadium Course at PGA West, Nicklaus Tournament Course, and the La Quinta Country Club. Participators in the tournament will have the chance to play alongside famous golf players and enjoy a membership experience full of fine dining and exclusive clubs.

This particular golf tournament was formerly known as the Bob Hope Classic and was founded in 1960 as the Palm Spring Golf Classic, a PGA golf tournament that was played over 5 days and 4 different courses. The event was originally created for charity, organized by Desert Classic Charities, and has raised more than $57 million for Eisenhower Medical Center since the golf tournament was founded.

This well-known golf tournament has awarded many famous golfers with winning titles since the start of the tournament in 1960. The first tournament was won by Arnold Palmer, and the tour this year will feature a tribute in his honor. Some of the most notable tournament champions include Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, and Jason Dufner. The tournament has also welcomed numerous celebrities that have participated in the Pro-Am competition, including Bing Crosby, Burt Lancaster, and even Dwight Eisenhower, the first US President to ever play in the Pro-Am competition.

The CareerBuilder Challenge is offering brand new events and activities at the tournament. For the first time ever, the tournament is offering a free concert included with admission that will begin Saturday after the golf play has ended. There is also a new lounge on site called the Club 9 Lounge. This lounge offers wine tasting, creative cocktails, and local craft beer. You can sit back, relax, and have a drink while watching the golf tournament on televisions inside or enjoy an amazing view of the tournament from the lounge’s viewing patio. Club 9 Lounge is also offering attendees to preview paintings and sculptures from the upcoming La Quinta Arts Festival the entire weekend. You can also enjoy two fashion shows on Saturday of the event from Lady Golf fashion house, showcasing fashion items for golf, tennis, yoga, and more.

The CareerBuilder Challenge is also offering a new feature called Birdies for Beers. If you’re lucky enough to grab a seat in the Birdies for Beers section outpost of the 16th green on the Stadium Course, you’ll receive half off beers! The 2017 tournament will also open up to the Bob Hope Promenade, which includes vendors for merchandise, cocktails and beers, activities, and most importantly – food trucks!
